Our Center

What is a Center for Independent Living?

Designed and operated by individuals with disabilities, Centers for Independent Living (CILs) provide independent living services for people with disabilities. CILs are at the core of the independent living movement and work to support community living and independence for people with disabilities across the lifespan. We believe that all people can live with dignity, make their own choices, and participate fully in society. CILs provide the tools, resources, and supports for integrating people with disabilities fully into their communities to promote equal opportunities, self-determination, and respect.

Our Center

The Living Independence Network Corporation (LINC) was founded in 1989 and our first office was located in Twin Falls, Idaho. We now have an office in Caldwell, with our headquarters in Boise. LINC is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization governed by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. Our service area includes 16 counties and part of the Duck Valley Reservation, and covers approximately 30,000 square miles of frontier, rural, and urban Idaho.
