📚 Did you know? The 2025 Student Earned Income Exclusion (SEIE) can empower young professionals with disabilities.

If you're under 22 and regularly enrolled in school, the SSI SEIE allows you to exclude up to $2,350 in monthly earnings (or $9,460 annually) from countable income.
That means you can pursue part-time work or paid internships without immediately losing SSI benefits.
Combine SEIE with the Ticket to Work program — and its wraparound employment supports — and you’ve got a powerful toolkit for career exploration. Ticket to Work helps you access vocational services, job coaching, and access to Employment Networks, all while protecting your health coverage and benefits during the transition.
👉 If you're advising students or young adults on the path to independence, remind them:
SEIE = exclusion of up to $2,350/month, $9,460/year for 2025
Ticket to Work = no more automatic benefit cuts or medical reviews while participating
This combo empowers students to earn, learn, and grow—with support every step of the way. Want to share more info or resources? I’m happy to help!
August is a fresh start. If you're receiving Social Security disability benefits and thinking about work, now's the perfect time. The Ticket to Work program offers free support to help you succeed.
