What is Operation Advocacy?

Operation Advocacy is a hands-on, mentor-supported program designed to help new advocates learn how to navigate the legislative process.

DIY Workshops

Workshops are optional and beginner-friendly.

DIY Workshops

We offer workshops will be at 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 11:00 AM. Attendees can drop into short “DIY” advocacy sessions covering:

• Scheduling legislative appointments

• What to wear and how to navigate the building

• Sharing your story in under 90 seconds

• Calming nerves and finding your voice

• Understanding legislative committees and hearings

In the afternoon, our mentors will also host a strategy meeting at 2:00pm about – Managed Care Organizations/ Medicaid Cuts -- LINC in Boise.
